About Pr. Saul K. Yawe

Pastor Saul K. Yawe, founder of Lion of Judah Schools, was born in Kayunga, Uganda during the reign of Idi Amin. Growing up in a large family in rural Uganda, access to education was limited, with only a few schools in the area.

Even then most were inadequately equipped and under-resourced by the government due to corruption and the Uganda Bush War (1980-1986) which saw much fighting taking place in outlying communities. In his teenage years, nearing the end of his secondary education, his mother and father died of HIV, leaving him and his siblings to take care of themselves in a time of uncertainty. Though it was also near this time that the Lord called him into ministry and he’d eventually go to a regional seminary.

His Inspiration

His first hand witness of the struggle to secure a necessity like education, led him to found the schools, with the goal of increasing the people of Kayunga’s accessibility to quality education while creating an environment to mentor and teach youth spiritually. Having seen the transformative power of Christ and education, he founded the schools in his home village of Kayunga, to help orphans and the destitute.
